Perfect Binding Perfect binding is a form of adhesive binding and is a free option for our books. This binding is sometimes called a "soft cover", which is similar to a paperback novel binding. It is excellent for books, corporate reports, manuals, brochures, and annual reports. The advantages are: versatile, printable spine, longevity, overall look and visual appeal. A printed spine requires a minimum of 60 pages to allow room for the Perfect binding is the process of applying hot melt glue to the spine of a book and applying a cover. Perfect binding such as a telephone book are common in the production of economically priced books. Perfect binding is best if offset paper with the grain long and grain on the cover is short. Coated text stock should not be used when producing a perfect bound book. Perfect binding glue is designed to penetrate the paper fiber which holds the page in the book. Coated paper has little to no paper fiber so the glue can only bond to the surface of the sheet. Poor page pulls will result if coated stock is used. We offer other options if your book is to have coated stock. It is important that your cover is printed to allow glue trap on the head and tail.
3-Ring The binders have a padded cover that can be printed in full color. All covers have Plastic lamination, for extra durability. Cover designs should be designed using the template for the binder size that will fit your book. The 5 ½ x 8 ½ binder is available in two sizes, ¾ inch and 1 inch. The ¾ inch will hold 95 sheets of 60# paper or 190 pages (cover template). The 1 inch will hold 115 sheets of 60# paper or 230 pages (cover template).
The binders can be personalized in full color printing, and all are laminated and cased in extra heavy .10 point board. This size of binder is excellent for company presentations, training manuals, parts catalogs and many more applications where personalization in small quantities is important to the company. If this type of binder is selected along with printing the presentation material, 3-hole punching is free. If you prefer to have your material 3-hold punched without a binder, we also offer that option.

The advantages are: the greatest capacity of any mechanical binding, the ability to interleaf pages, and pages can be changed.

Plastic coil is fast becoming a popular and durable binding method. Books bound with plastic coil, sometimes referred to as plastic spiral binding, open a full 360 degrees and easily lay flat without risk of damaging or losing pages. Plastic coil binding element does not chip, crack or corrode and is an attractively priced alternative to other binding products. Plastic coil is available in different pitches to accommodate 4 or 5 holes per inch.
